An update from your local policing team |
This last week of January has been another busy one for the North Lincolnshire Neighbourhood Policing Teams. From a closure order being granted at a property on Sheffield Street in Crosby following reports of anti social behaviour and drug related criminality in the area, HumberTalking surveys and My Community Alert sign-ups, to high visibility patrols across Scunthorpe Town Centre, Barton, Ferry and Winterton. ![]()
As always, local PCSOs and Beat Officers have received lots of positive engagement from the community and local businesses. Positive enforcement was also a theme of this week as whilst conducting routine patrols, their eagle eyes spotted a man who had been circulated as wanted on suspicion of several shop thefts. After allegedly attempting to evade the officers, they soon caught up and he was swiftly arrested on suspicion of seven counts of shop theft, and recall to prison. ![]()
If you want to find out more about your local policing team, simple head to the homepage of our website and pop your postcode into the ‘Find Your Area’ at the top. Here you can see who’s on the team, plan for any upcoming meetings and events they’re holding, and see what the local crime priorities are. Look out for more of this in February, and as always if you have any concerns about crime in your area, please continue to speak to your local officers when you see them out and about. You can also report via our non-emergency number 101, or online. Always call 999 in an emergency. To report anonymously you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. | ||
